Before an Interventional Procedure or Biopsy?

You will need to make an appointment for an interventional procedure or biopsy. Most procedures do not require specific preparation however, there are a few that require fasting so please take the time to read the summary of instructions below. If you have any questions please discuss them with our reception staff when you make your appointment.

If you are to have a procedure done on your neck, chest, abdomen or pelvis please fast for 4 hours prior to your procedure.

After an Interventional Procedure or Biopsy?

If you are feeling fit and well, you will be allowed to go home immediately. Sometimes we might ask you to stay with us for 30mins to ensure you are ok, especially after having a contrast injection, however this is rare.
